In detail:
You’ll look at the work of other artists to inform your own practice and work mainly from seasonal, natural source material. Sessions focus on building skills in observation, composition, form, tone, line, texture and pattern, while encouraging expressive, painterly outcomes.

Lucy specialises in teaching clear processes and practical techniques that help you create well-observed yet expressive artwork. Every session includes demonstrations, introducing new ways of seeing and new approaches to recording what you observe. You’ll leave each class with fresh ideas and a growing “bank” of techniques to develop your practice further.

Please bring your own brushes, water jars, paper, kitchen roll, table covering and paints. Lucy will publish a list of requirements for each session. Lucy is always happy to offer advice if you’re looking to build your art stash.
